Weekly Training Rundown

This is just a quick rundown of my average week of training. It varies from week to week and session to session depending on other circumstances but for the most part this is what I aim for.

I normally train twice a day, a morning session before work and then an evening session and I categorise my training into ‘skill’ sessions and ‘conditioning’ sessions. At the moment the goal is six skill sessions a week – a total of five and a half hours divided between three Muay Thai classes, a one-to-one session with my trainer, a padwork session with a couple of training partners and a heavy-bag session. The Conditioning side of my training consists of two bootcamps, two interval cardio sessions and three strength sessions a week. I’m currently dealing with a minor injury, so one strength session is actually a physio session, and then I also try to fit in a little bit of yoga most days as well.

So an average week looks a bit like this at the moment:

Mon Tues Weds Thurs Fri Sat Sun
AM Conditioning

+ Yoga

Physio Session Conditioning

+ Yoga

Strength Training

+ Yoga

Strength Training

+ Yoga

Bootcamp

+ Yoga

Yoga
PM Bootcamp Muay Thai Muay Thai Muay Thai Muay Thai Heavy Bag Muay Thai

I always think that I could fit more skill training – like doing more sessions with the heavy bag, but at the moment this is what is working for me, and fits best around my work/college schedule.
